Three of the best photographers of the female nude in the United Kingdom in the late 1930s and 1940s, John Everard, Horace Roye and Walter Bird and largely unknown outside of the world of collectors. All three were members of the Camera Studies Club. A publisher as well as a mail order company offering original, high quality prints by the three photographers for sale to the public.
Leading up to WWII and just after, their work appeared in numerous books including: Everard's Artist's Model, Judgement of Paris; Horace Roye's The Irish Maid, The English Maid, etc. plus Eves Without Leaves; and Bird's "beauty" series Beauty's Self and Beauty's Daughter.
