Ladies in Love LESBIAN Themed Magazines Early 1970s

 

Running the risk of irritating a portion of the gay population I will nevertheless post these great lesbian themed magazines from the late 1960s/early '70s. Note that it is a given that these magazines were published by men for men and that in the context of "today's pc world" are, at least in principle, unsupportable. That being said, they are part of the visual history of the genre out of which came some memorable imagery. Here are Lesbian Life, Modern Girls (Denmark), Three III, Pussy Willow, Sapho and Wildcats.

DANISH Female Nudes 1960s Unretouched Beauties

Rarely seen, vintage late 1960s Danish unretouched nudes in a medium format featuring trim models, always posed in garter belts and stockings. Stylistically reminiscent of the work of the great French photographer of the 1950s and '60s, Serge Jacques. Jacques, in a conversation 20 years ago said: "...a photo of a nude woman cannot be sexy unless she is wearing garter belts and stockings!." Je suis d'accord! Original Scandinavian photographs from this era are impossible to find either here or in Europe. Photographer unknown. These images are similar to the photographs that appeared in Modern Girls, Exciting and  Cover Girl magazines published in Denmark.
