ELMER BATTERS The Parliament Years Early 1960s

From the "tip of the toes to the top of the hose" was the motto of Elmer Batters and the Royal Order of the Garter which began with his self-published magazines in the late 1950s and took off with his contributions to Parliament publications in Los Angeles. Here are a few titles from the early/mid-'60s which put Batters and Parliament on the map and for the first time created competition for the long reigning East Coast publishers of slick, quality men's magazines. More about Elmer here.

TIP TOP Elmer Batters Garter Belts Stockings 1960s

Tip Top was amongst the first standard size, specialized men's magazines in America. Starting in 1961 in Los Angeles published by the American Art Agency (later to become Parliament Publications) the legs, hose and heels featuring in each issue was the follow-up to the late 1950s magazines created and self-published by Elmer Batters. His earliest efforts, including Black Silk Stockings, set the stage for what followed in these marvelous Tip Top mags. Here, from deep in my archives are a selection starting at the top circa 1962 and the bottom circa 1968.

BIG & BOUNCY Magazine ~ 1960s Busty Babes

Here's an illusive digest sized magazine from the early 1960s, Big & Bouncy, devoted to busty babes published by World Wide News Corp. Short lived, maybe two issues published, filled with "Big, Bold, Bare & Buxom Gals 42+ !"
