Souvenir program for Les Naturistes (1964) a Paris cabaret. The overall design, layout and typography is the epitome of the period, combining the look of a late 1950s French girlie magazine and American high school yearbook while simultaneously fulfilling a personal fantasy of what a 1960s Paris night spot and its performers, actually looked like. Note the checkerboard patterned, lighted stage floor (above); pre-disco, pre-Saturday Night Fever.
The club presented a "variety show" of entertainers in and out of dazzling costumes, including singers, dancers and strippers as well as a bit of vaudeville and the circus. Wonderful images and design/typography throughout.
