The adult magazines genre of the 1960s was dominated by the Los Angeles based powerhouse Parliament publications, famous for their Elmer Batters driven content and titles such as Tip Top and The Nylon Jungle. The competitors, inspired by the success of Parliament and their focus on the so called, "legs & lingerie" magazines, came from both coasts by start up publishers, most short lived.
Here is a selection of some of the better titles of the period, including Snip, Slip & Garter, Hip & Toe, Dream, Twilight, Bouncy Babes, Legs & Lasses and The Mrs. all featuring top models posed in and out of lingerie, garter belts, stockings and high heels.
