SINEMA Adult Film Sex Cinema Magazines 1960s

Once again the publishers of adult publications, took a cue from pop culture, reflecting changing morals and attitudes towards permissiveness. In this context the "sinema" magazine was born. Inspired in large part by Playboy magazine's regular feature "Sex In The Cinema" (started in the early '60s) these "special interest" magazines appeared in adult bookstores circa 1965 and flourished for about five years.

Here is a selection from a recent acquisition, sold to clients and collectors. Titles include: Raw Flix, Fiery Films, Torrid Film Review, Exotic Cinema, Wildest Films, Dynamic Films, Mod Cinema and Bizarre Films.

GRUNDWORTH Photo Fetishist: Derriere Lover 1920s

The Parisian world of clandestine, erotic photography has many twists and turns and more than a few "men of mystery" working behind the camera. Among their ranks is the photographer known only as Grundworth. Although there is much evidence of his contributions to the genre during 1920s, unabashedly displaying his fetish for full figured women, particularly their marvelous round asses, nothing is known about him.

He also admired silk stocking'ed legs, garters, garter belts, panties, frou-frou slips and lingerie; as well as outdoor exhibitionists and maids giving enemas to their submissive mistresses!! Here is a miscellany of postcard size images. Go here to see the original Grundworths in my eBay store.

A short lived (seven issues?) 16 page, small format publication printed in gravure, filled cover to cover with photographs by Brassai, Dorvyne, Nora Dumas, Ergy Landau, Andre Steiner, Lokay, Quinio-Elmerich, Koruna and George Henri. Here are covers and images from a recently acquired group available for sale in my eBay store.
