The fetish, bondage, female domination photographs created by the combined talents of the Ostra and Biederer Studios remains some of the the most seductive fantasy imagery produced anywhere during the 1920s and early 1930s. Exceptional models, impeccably dressed in fetishistic clothing, were posed in submissive "tableaux vivante" and photographed. The studio team, comprised of two brothers, emigres to Paris from Hungary (the town of Moraska-Ostrava), created unparalleled imagery, posing talented models in marvelous fetish clothing. The final product, beautifully composed photographs, printed on the highest quality photo paper from excellent negatives, were unsurpassed and stand high above the rest of the 1920s/'30s genre photographs. Tragically, the brothers, Jews living in Paris at the time of the occupation, were sent separately to concentration camps in Germany, where both were exterminated.
