Female Domination: Bondage S/M Magazines 1970s
A selection of American, German and English full-size, bondage, fem/dom, s/m, fetish magazines circa 1970s. Once this genre started appearing in adult book stores, with little resistance, there came a flood of publications devote to submission with the emphasis on female domination. Featured titles: The Iron Mistress, Bizarre London, Daughters of DeSade and Bondage Pictorial.

Optical Toy: PHENAKISTOSCOPE 1840's Joseph Plateau
Moving images from the amazing optical toy, the Phenakistoscope, created in Belgium, circa 1841 by Joseph Plateau. Exceptional bizarre and surreal images created by a device that was a precursor to the modern moving image at the turn-of-the-century, film and the cinema. A relatively simple looking device that depends on the spinning of a flat plate covered with images and the connection between the eye and the brain: the persistence of vision. More here.
