MoMA PS1 Art Book Fair ~ Scene at the Fair 2014

Four incredible days in Long Island City where an amazing variety of international artists, antiquarians, 'zinesters, publishers and booksellers once again descended on MoMA PS1. The New York Art Book Fair has become the not to be missed artist's book event in the world and at the moment, rivaled only by the show in Los Angeles, also produced by Printed Matter.

A huge thanks goes out to all the Printed Matter crew, especially to show coordinator Jordan Nassar and show curator Shannon Michael Cane. See my previous post for the
Vasta Images/Books stand.

Here is a glimpse of what I saw at the fair, some photos taken early in the morning prior to the arrival of thousands of attendees. No doubt there was an increase in this year's attendance as the pulse, the ebb and flow of people, never ceased. See you in Los Angeles in February!

Vasta @ New York Art Book Fair 2014 MoMA PS1

Vasta Images/Books and Vasta Editions, presenting our first publication Hide And Seek, had an incredible fours days at Printed Matter's NYABF @ MoMA PS1 in Long Island City. Thanks to everyone who came to the fair, our old and new friends and colleagues, all the staff from Printed Matter (especially Jordan and Shannon), and to my stand manager Simon and assistants Annalisa and Lindsey.

And thanks to the three dealers who shared the "I" gallery space with us: Arthur (Fornier Rare & Unusual), Louisa (20th Century Art Archives) and Myles and Kerry (Ampersand). We had a great time keeping the room set to "kool" all weekend ~ how did we get by previously without bluetooth! On to Paris in late October for the paper show (posting details soon) and looking forward to February '15 and the Los Angeles Art Book Fair. Click for the latest updates to my eBay listings.

captured the imagination of fair goers and blew a few minds!

The right side vitrine was devoted to contemporary artist's books. The left side of the vitrine was devoted to Hide And Seek's top of the edition books and other work and publications by Gilles Berquet and Mirka Lugosi, the collaborators of Hide And Seek.
